Members meet for a recreational run every Saturday morning in an ideal setting - the Saratoga Spa State Park. Famed for its mile-long Avenue of the Pines and mineral springs, the Park has been designated a National Historic Site. "Rec Runs" begin promptly at 9 AM in winter (November to March (EST)) and at 8:30 AM in summer (March (DST) to October). The meeting place is the Warming Hut, off the upper portion of the Avenue of the Pines, near Route 9. If the warming hut is reserved by another group, please find us at our alternative location, the Saratoga Spa State Park Little Theatre parking lot. You can run or walk any distance you choose, and go at your own pace. Club members try to make sure that no one walks or runs alone. Water, coffee and donuts are available after the run, as well as water for other hot drinks. We always welcome visitors and have been joined by runners from several other states and countries.
